September 26 - The Presidential Ambassadors

Meet the Presidential Ambassadors

Charismatic, articulate, friendly, and professional. These are only a sampling of the characteristics embodied by CSU's Presidential Ambassadors.

The program began in spring of 2006 with 11 highly-qualified CSU student-leaders. Dedicated to leadership and service, the Presidential Ambassador program strives to increase student interaction and involvement with CSU donors, alumni, faculty, and staff at a number of University events. Such events have included the 1870 Recognition Dinner, the 2007 Denver Executive Luncheon, and the 2006 Gubernatorial Debate in Denver. Every year, the students are trained in professional etiquette, networking, public relations, event planning, and experience design.

Watch the Presidential Ambassador video to learn more about the program from the ambassador's themselves!

September 19 -What's your CSU?

What's Your CSU?

We asked, and you told us. See what you and your friends had to say by watching MyCSU at the Student Involvement Fair!

The Student Involvement Fair is sponsored by the Office of Student Organizations. It offers student organizations an opportunity to tell campus about their upcoming events and provide information for other students interested in knowing more about what it means to be a part of a student group.

September 17 - A big voice for a big job

Reed's CSU Turned Into a Great Job!

"MATT HOOOOLLLLLLIDAY!!!"

This grandiose announcement is an important part of Reed Saunders' job. Saunders, a 2003 graduate of CSU, is the new voice of Coors Field.

Born and raised in Denver, Saunders majored in journalism and technical communications while at CSU. He wrote for The Collegian for a couple of years and was an intern in the Sports Information Office. As an intern, it was recommended he announce for CSU volleyball games, and so began his career as an announcer. Saunders went on to announce for the Colorado Eagles Hockey Team in Loveland.

His first assignment with the Rockies was on Opening Day, April 2, 2007. Watch the video to see Reed in action and to learn more about his ties to CSU!

September 5 - Student President Prepared to Lead and Serve

Katie's CSU is ASCSU!

Katie Gleeson

A water bottle full of Reese's on her desk and a Rascall Flatts song stuck in her head are reminders that Katie Gleeson is not just this year's ASCSU president, but also a down-to-earth and easily-approachable CSU student. Don't let her nickname, RageCage, mislead you. She's charming, friendly, likes Twix, has a mother from England and a father from New Zealand, is challenged by balancing her presidential responsibilities with her schoolwork, and reads Harry Potter.

Katie came to CSU from Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a Western Undergraduate Exchange student. She is passionate about her role at CSU this year and says, "I want students to be involved and to stop by the office anytime."

This is YOUR CSU!

August 29 - Welcome Back Rams and Thanks for Visiting MyCSU!

This year will be loaded with tons of new videos, photos, and articles about your CSU peers…and maybe even YOU!

Alex's CSU was MyCSU!

My name is Adrianna and I’m excited to be the coordinator for MyCSU this year. I’m a senior math major who loves running, biking, and playing tennis. I was in Spain teaching English last year and blogged my experience for MyCSU (Check it out here). My favorite aspect of being a part of the MyCSU team is getting to know so many of you!

I’d like to thank last year’s MyCSU coordinator, Alex Mitchell, for his hard work and dedication to MyCSU.  Alex graduated in May and will be interning for the United States House of Representatives on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. The MyCSU team is proud of him and wishes him the best of luck!

I’m looking forward to meeting you, so send us your ideas, photos, and articles to MyCSU@colostate.edu for a chance to be featured!
