CSU student helps to rescue raptors

by MyCSU on February 25, 2010

CSU student Madeline Anna feels a connection to birds of prey—something she attributes to her background as a Native American.  As a volunteer for the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, Madeline, a senior majoring in environmental health, helps to care for the hundreds of birds brought to RMRP each year.  In caring for these raptors, the ultimate goal is to rehabilitate them for release back into the wild.

In this video, Madeline interacts with a red tailed hawk at CSU’s Environmental Learning Center, one of RMRP’s two facilities in Fort Collins.
