At CSU, students interested in public relations can join the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). Members of PRSSA have opportunities to network with professionals, attend workshops and seminars, and travel to conferences around the country. A delegation from the CSU chapter will travel Nov. 6-10 to San Diego for the PRSSA National Conference.
Ashley Frost, a junior majoring in technical journalism, is the president of CSU’s chapter of PRSSA. As president, Ashley coordinates events and speakers that will help students hone their PR skills. In this video, PRSSA members learn about media relations from Bryan Simpson, the Media Relations Director at New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins. Turns out even breweries need good PR!

When it comes to fashion, Delta Delta Delta Sorority is leading the campus in defining what looks good. The women of Tri-Delt, led by member Melissa Still, hosted a fashion show on Oct. 20 that focused on positive body image.
Melissa, a senior majoring in apparel and merchandising, is currently serving as the president of the CSU Panhellenic Council. She used money from Tri-Delt’s Presidential Greek Vision Award to organize the event, called (Re)Define (Real)ity.
At the show, women from various sororities, as well as Miss Teen Colorado Emily Schlehuber and CSU VP for Student Affairs Blanche Hughes, took the stage to show that reality is not what is shown in magazines. Instead, the show focused on diversity, empowerment and pursuing a passion.

The Campus Information Desk, also known as the iBox, is located in the heart of Lory Student Center. Students can visit the iBox to pick up tickets to athletic and cultural events, get questions answered or ask for help in finding a room or building. The staff at the iBox is composed of an excited group of students who are always willing to help out their fellow Rams. Student employees like Ally, who is featured in this video, interact with hundreds of people every day and there is rarely a dull moment.
So, whether you're cruising through the student center on your way to catch the bus, grabbing lunch or visiting friends, stop by the iBox and say hello! Grab a ticket to the next football game, see what's going in the student center and get involved in the busy world of CSU.

In the world of business, good management skills are essential. James Richards and Melanie Tran, both seniors majoring in business administration, are learning how valuable that skill can be. James and Melanie are taking “Leadership and Team Management” with Dr. Travis Maynard, a class that focuses on developing and managing team in organizations.
The class recently took a trip to the CSU Challenge Course to get some firsthand experience with team-building. This is just one way that CSU’s College of Business is providing students with a world-class education.
